CUYAHOGA FALLS -A. Eleanor Soos, 88, departed this life for her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 16th, 2009. She was born November 10th, 1921 to parents, Thomasino and Grace Dangelo. Eleanor grew up and attended school in Akron, eventually becoming an English teacher for both Tallmadge High School and The University of Akron. It is there that she would meet her late husband, Joseph Soos. In 1948, they were married and they moved to Cuyahoga Falls two years later to start a family in the home that Joe built for them.
Eleanor was an active member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church for 59 years. She was strong in her faith and active in her church/community organizations including Regina Caeli Choir, Altar and Rosary, Meals-on-wheels, Holy Name Society and Bridge Club to name a few.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. and sisters, Nancy Olejar and Adelaide Corpino, she is survived by her sons, David of Brimfield and Phillip (Carol) of Twinsburg; daughter, Carol (Mark) Lane of Springfield Twp; grandchildren, Meghan, Jon, Bradley and Jennifer Soos, Patrick Sonderman and Shannon Lane and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Dylan Sonderman, Cecilia Dae and Lilly Anne Soos.
The Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Friday, December 18th in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday, December 19, 2009 in St. Josephs's Church. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Joseph's in her memory.
