Ada Mae Walters (nee Osborn) was born November 29, 1922 in Akron and died March 5, 2017.
Preceded in death by husband, William, son, Daniel, granddaughter, Jodi. She will be missed by daughters, Debby Thomas, Sally (Fred) Fletcher, Kathleen (Norman) Siegfried, daughter-in-law, Arlene, grandsons, Tad and Brett, three great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and additional family members. But the facts of her death are not as important as the facts of her life: oldest attending and lifelong member of E. Market St. UCC, scout leader, Children's Hospital volunteer, avid ice-skater and golfer, lifeguard, animal, book and chocolate lover. She never met a stranger and often introduced herself as "Ada-Potato-Rotten-Tomato so you won't forget my name."
The family is so grateful to the staff at The Gardens of Western Reserve for the care and kindness she was given.
A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
