CUYAHOGA FALLS -Adele McClarren Mortensen, 81, passed away December 5, 2008 in Cincinnati. Adele was born in Reynoldsburg, OH on 11/13/1927 and resided in Cuyahoga Falls. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and served as an educator with the Nordonia Hills, Avon Lake and Etna School Systems and ended her teaching career at Redeemer Christian School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Cuyahoga Falls and its Wesley Class. She was a member of Chapter CS- P.E.O., Akron Area Home Economics (GAHEA), Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Cuyahoga Falls and Ohio Historical Societies, Summit County Retired Teachers and she was an active volunteer at the Akron Zoo.

Adele was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert (JR) and is survived by her sons, Len W. (Judi), Robert P. (Sharon) and Dr. Joel E. (Sandy); 11 grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, William, Gabriel, James Robert, Luke, Jesse, Katherine, Lydia, Jon and Jacob and her sister, Sarah Youngblood.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009 in The First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, Chapel of the Good Shepherd, 135 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Rev. Susan Lausch Officiating. Donations are being accepted in Adele's name to benefit Redeemer Christian School, Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Please send donations c/o Joel E.
