Alfred Willgues

Alfred Eugene Willgues, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family August 10, 2012. He was a life-long Akron resident, retiring from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1980 after 30 years of service. Alfred was a dedicated Mason of 50 years, achieved 32nd degree and served as past master. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Tadmor Temple, Yusef Khan Grotto and the Goodyear Boat Club.

Preceded in death by his wives, Eva and Ruth; daughter, Sharon; son, Lionel "John"; He is survived by son, Dennis (Jane) of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Rebecca Blackerby of N. Royalton; grandchildren, Jonn, Dawn, David, Randy, Darrin, and Shannon; step-sons, David (Peggy) Pennell and John Pennell; great-grandchildren, Justin, and Tyler. Al will be missed by many friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Traditions at Bath Rd. for their loving care.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM Monday, August 13 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Oh, 44221 where a Masonic Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM and where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday August 14. Pastor David McGrath will be officiating. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Falls Cancer Club P.O. Box 3244, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44223.
