Alice Hammack

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Alice R. Hammack, 87, passed away July 15, 2009. Mrs. Hammack was born in Akron and was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls most of her life, graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1940. She had been an accounts receivable clerk for Dairy Mart for 17 years and had also worked for the U. S. Census Bureau. She enjoyed traveling to England with Doran, had been a Girl Scouts leader and dearly loved her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Doran A. Jr. and sisters, Julia Lowe and Martha Griffiths, she is survived by her daughters, Susan Rainford of Kennesaw, GA, Mary Beth Rowlance of Cuyahoga Falls and Cathy (Carl) Aquilina of Webster, NY; grandchildren, Linda Vargo, Matthew Downen, Kate (Brett) Lawrence and Tony, Mike, Cindy and Joe Aquilina; 4 great-grandchildren and sister, Mariam Smetts of Stow.

Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Sunday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, Rev. Earle Sickels officiating. Final resting place Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests memorials be made to the Cuyahoga Falls Public Library 2015 Third St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
