Alyce G. Crowe

Alyce G. Crowe (nee Godfray), entered into eternal rest on Friday November 24, 2023.  Alyce was born March 7, 1929 to Percy and Lillian Godfray.  Alyce got her teaching degree at Kent State University and taught first grade at Richardson Elementary School in Cuyahoga Falls for 38 years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold, sister-in-law Naomi, and brother-in-law Alan Peterson.  Left to mourn is sister Audrey Peterson, nieces and nephews Lynn (Jerry) Godfray Penman, Cindy (Bob) Umbarger, David (Jane) Godfray, Nadine (Joe) Godfray Dwyer, Jeffrey Peterson, Ken (Jirina) Peterson, Cheryl Peterson, and many great nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was also a special Aunt to Fred (Yoke) Eerenberg in The Netherlands. Love and thanks to Alyce’s longtime friend, Sandi Horner. 

We are reminded that Alyce had an extraordinary impact on countless people throughout her life. She was always a teacher, and we thank her for that legacy.  Also, most remember Alyce at Good Neighbors, or with her constant canine companions and animal out reach.   Many thanks to Maplewood Senior Living of Cuyahoga Falls for her wonderful care and the support of Serenity Hospice. 

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be on Friday December 15, 2023, with visitation at 10:00, service at 11:00, and a reception following at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 2220 2^nd Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.  Memorial donations in Alyce’s name can be made to her church, St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Summit County Humane Society or a pet charity of your choice.
