Amity "Amie" Poole

Amity Lynn Poole, age 45, of Barberton, passed away on February 20, 2022. Amie spent much of her life residing in Barberton with her lifelong partner of 27 years, Jose Rodriguez. Amie devoted her life to her family including her two sons, Alex Najar and Manny Rodriguez. Amie could often be found supporting her sons at sporting events when they were growing up, spending time with her grandson Arlo, taking her beloved dog Bentley on walks around the neighborhood, and she was known by all for her infamous phone calls. Amie took ownership of the River City Bar & Grille, a family-owned business, in 2019. The River City is a local Cuyahoga Falls hangout that has been in the community for 20 plus years. Amie is survived by her lifelong partner, Jose Rodriguez, two sons: Alex Najar, daughter in law Randi (Artrip) Najar, grandson Arlo Najar, and son Manny Rodriguez, daughter in law Lindsey (Krska) Rodriguez, brother Benjamin Poole, sister-in-law Ashley Poole, niece Charlotte Poole, and nephew Noah Poole. She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Leisure, father Ronald Poole, and sister Stacy Poole. The memorial service will be held at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home on Monday, February 28th from 5:00-7:00 pm. There will be an informal gathering after calling hours at the River City to honor Amie.
