Andrew W. Volchko, 86, died April 10, 2005. Mr. Volchko was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 47 years. He was a retired machinist from Adamson United Machine Co. and Kent Machine Co., was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a Veteran of WW2 having served with the U.S. Navy. He was an avid golfer and a huge Cleveland Browns and Indians Fan.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Volchko and Anna Kazimer; his beloved wife, Mary; brother, Paul and brother-in-law, John Popiel. He leaves his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Stephen Smith; grandson, Tim Smith; brothers and sisters, Ted (Ann) Volchko, Emil (Mildred) Volchko, Irene Volchko, Paulyne Popiel, Helen (Jim) Davies, Anne Volchko, Edward (Juanita) Volchko, Delbert (Jan) Volchko; sister-in-law, Ruth Volchko; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Doug and Sue Brand, Joe and Rose Vercamen and Ray and Bim Shelker.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm THURSDAY in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 am SATURDAY at St. Joseph's. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park. A Military Service will be conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's or the Akron City Hospital Dialysis Center.
