CUYAHOGA FALLS - Angelo James Venet, 83, of Cuyahoga Falls went home to the Father's loving arms August 14, 2005.
Angelo was born in Johnstown, PA. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII onboard the #427 Minesweeper. He retired from B.F. Goodrich after 36 years of service. He was owner of Ange's Flooring & Tile Co., was a member of the V.F.W. Fairlawn and was a past member of the Home Builders Assoc. of Summit County. Angelo was a devoted, loving, husband and father. His favorite hobbies were spending time with family and friends. During his retirement, they were able to travel and spend winters in Florida. His wisdom and caring ways will be dearly missed by the many who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Giovanni and Cosima Venet; four sisters; and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine, nee Lentini; children, Cozy (Mike) Richard, John (Joni) Venet, Angel (Jeff) Cianchetti, Darlene (Jeff) Cole, Charlene (John) Brown, and MaryJo Pittman (fiance' Eric Troxell); grandchildren, Tammy (Tim) Ahlers, Tonia (Neil) Sampson, Trina (Jim) Pohl, Joseph (Jennifer) Genovese, Frank (Mary) Genovese, Annemarie (Jim) Price, Tannesha Venet, Andrea (Joe) Crotty, Anthony Cianchetti, Alena Cianchetti, Jeffrey (Jackie) Cole, Jennifer (James) Ball, Jamie Brown, Chris (Tracey) Brown, Johnny Brown, Stephanie Pittman, Mallory Pittman and Daniel Pittman. He also leaves 27 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Sam Venet and Pete (Rosalie) Venet; two sisters-in-law, Mary Asente and Connie (Paul) Papes; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to give thanks to the staff of the Memory Care Unit, Restorative Therapy, and Physical Therapy at Traditions at Bath Rd. for the love and kindness they bestowed on Angelo during his stay there. We deeply appreciate everyone. We would also like to thank Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service for the comfort given to our dad.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday at The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of the Resurrection will be 9:30 am Thursday at St. Anthony's Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, 44310, Father Jim Ragnoni officiating. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park. A Military Service will be conducted by VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062.
