CUYAHOGA FALLS -Anna Margaret Hawley was born on October 30, 1908 in Reedsville, Meigs County, Ohio and went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2005. Anna lived in Cuyahoga Falls for over eighty-seven years. She was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School class of 1926 and Kent State University. She taught first and second grade for a total of 32 years in Cuyahoga Falls, Stow and Tallmadge with over 20 years in Room #8 at Overdale Elementary School. She was dedicated to her family and her students and enjoyed their many accomplishments. She loved playing classical piano, cooking family meals, rose gardening and traveling the American West.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lena Hawley, husband, Algin T. Leach in 1999 and son, Algin (Tom) Leach Jr. in 1973, her brothers Joseph, William and Richard Hawley and her sister Ruth Happoldt. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Irene (Ed)Leach Metz and her grandsons, Dale and Ray (Jennifer) Leach; great-granddaughters, Hannah Rae and Audrey Anna Leach; along with many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday August 8 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls; Reverend Ed Carter officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to service time. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society, the Haven of Rest or your favorite charity.
