CUYAHOGA FALLS - Anna L. Lewis, 92, passed away September 24, 2011.
Born in Kentucky, Mrs. Lewis lived most of her life in the Cuyahoga Falls area. Anna had been a teller at Valley Savings, a member of the Aurora Club, Eagles #2207, B. P. W., the Alaska Club, the Red Hat Society, Falls Chapter #245, O.E.S., and the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls (over 60 years). She enjoyed family gatherings, which were very important to her. Mom always used honey, never vinegar, to encourage others and accomplish tasks at home or work.
Preceded in death by her husband Franklin and daughter Kathryn Sykes, she is survived by sons, James (Robin) Lewis of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and William (Dianna) Lewis of Cuyahoga Falls; son-in-law John Sykes; grandchildren Jonas (Kim) Sykes, Franklin, Cody, and Colton Lewis; great grandchildren Grace, Jason, and Isabella; and brothers Paul and Harvey (Lil) Pinkston.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of the Garden of Western Reserve and the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital.
Friends may call at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 29. A Graveside Service will be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens Mauseleum Chapel on Friday at 11:00 am, Dr. David Baker officiating.
