Arlene Shaver

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Arlene M. Shaver, 84, passed away January 20, 2010 and was born July 14, 1925 to Ted and Winna Garrett in Norwalk, OH.

Mrs. Shaver had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1944 moving there from Akron. She grew up in Akron and was a 1943 graduate of East High School;, had worked for Saalfield Publishing Company and was a member of First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls.

Preceded in death by her first husband Robert Woodward, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, Clyde; children, Richard (Kathleen) Woodward of Nashville, Linda Pullin of Stow, Rob (Lori) Woodward Jr. of Stow, Dale (Jennifer) Shaver of California, Steven Shaver of Akron and Beth Ann (Chris) Gilbert of Orange Park, FL; grandchildren, Randy, James, Terry and Tamara, Robert and Wendy, Colleen, Jacqui and Rob and Jessi, Stevie and Matthew; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Scarberry of Summerville, SC; Shirley (Chuck) Ondack of Akron; niece, Kathy Worthington and friends.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 30 in the First Christian Church, 2253 3rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, Rev. Gail Lindsey officiating.
