CUYAHOGA FALLS – Arnold L. Lewis peacefully left our world after enjoying a life of over 93 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 69 years; his four children, Erik (Trudi) Lewis, Shelley Gordon, Karl (Gloria) Lewis, Liesha (Kevin) Dickey. His grandchildren, Laura (Milan) Ciric, Joshua (Erin) Dickey, Lindsay (Brigham) VanEtten. His great grandchildren, Ema and Sofia Ciric and Cooper and Quinn Dickey. His sisters, Faye Letendre of Maine and Millie Dustin of New Hampshire.
Arnie was a native of New Hampshire, where he visited often. He came to Ohio to attend and graduate from Defiance College, where he also met the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Corey.
Arnie was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He lived in Cuyahoga Falls, where his passion for gardening was evident in his beautifully landscaped yard, which was even featured in the Akron Beacon Journal.
His true legacy was more than 30 years of teaching in public schools, the majority of which was at Woodridge High School, where two or even three generations of students learned a love or appreciation of drama, literature, poetry, grammar and writing.
