August Mericola

CUYAHOGA FALLS - August Arthur Mericola, 94, passed away March 18, 2015. He was born in Hudson and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 56 years. August graduated from Hudson High School in 1941, going onto to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked as an Operating Engineer, enjoyed dancing, fitness, reading and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of 56 years; children, Dawn Mericola, Toni Mericola, Damian and Michael; granddaughters, Alexandria Mericola and Christina Hildum.

Friends may call from 2-4 PM on Sunday March 22, 2015 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday March 23 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1761 2nd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
