Barb was born 11/12/ 1942 in Akron Ohio to Andrew and Hellen Smreck, who preceded her in death along with her sister, Laura Rossi and niece Erin. She grew up in Firestone Park and moved to Cuyahoga Falls 45 years ago. She was a realtor at Gene Allen Realty for many years, before working at Valley Savings and Loan. She retired from the Industrial Commission of Ohio 11 years ago.
Barb enjoyed traveling and reading. She was a talented poet. Her home was warm and inviting, and her decorating style reflected her love of Indian art and her fun loving whimsical side
He culinary talents were legendary. Everything she made was from scratch and often of her own creation. She generously shared her delicious food with friends and family. She enjoyed entertaining on her patio where it was always cocktail hour. She was a fabulous hostess.
Barb worked tirelessly in her yard to create a beautiful haven that was home to humming birds, squirrels and all creatures. She was happiest when reading and listening to music seated on her patio. If you stopped by to chat, that is where you would find her.
Barb was an avid shopper and bargain hunter. She frequented TJMaxx, Marshall's, Gabriel's, Big Lots, Marcs, Macys and Aldi's, where her presence will certainly be missed.
She enjoyed playing the slots at the Hard Rock Casino and socializing there, never knowing a stranger and always finding a new friend where ever she went.
Above all else Barb loved nature. Her favorite place to spend time and reflect was the Signal Tree where she felt at peace. Barb had a very spiritual nature. Barb had a beautiful smile, a beautiful soul a kind and generous heart and an infectious laugh. She was a true friend to many who were blessed to know her.
