Barbara Matthews

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Barbara R. Matthews, 76, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday April 8, 2014. She was born in Ravenna and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 56 years. Barbara was a dedicated wife and mother, who enjoyed gardening.

Preceded by her parents, Glenn and Geraldine Smith; she is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rufus; son, Jackie; daughter, Ruth; son, William; good friend, Chris Russell; granddaughters, April and Kimberly Bowmaster; great-grandchildren, Jason and Haley; sister, Doris. The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Summa of Western Reserve ICU.

Friends may call two hours prior to a 12 pm funeral service on Friday April 11, 2014 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
