Barbara Messina

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Barbara J. Messina, 77, passed away peacefully in her home December 17, 2014. She was born in Cleveland and resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life. Barbara worked as an office clerk for Siegferth Plumbing Co. and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan.

Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; she is survived by her daughters, Susan (Richard) Perkins of Milwaukie, Oregon and Diane (Mark) Hermansen of Portland, Oregon; stepsons, John (Jennifer) Messina and Sam (Ann) Messina; stepdaughter, Lisa (Greg) Ricci; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard (Margaret) Gross.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Friends may call from Sunday, Dec 21 from 3 to 5 pm in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221, where a funeral service will be held at Monday, Dec 22 at 11 am. Fr. James E. Singler will be officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1903 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44223.
