Barbara Mitchell

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Barbara H. Mitchell died peacefully on April 8, 2009 at the age of 87. She once again has joined her beloved parents, Harry L. and Maude Hosterman and siblings, Harry L. Hosterman, Earl H. Hosterman and twin sister, Bette Thome who preceded her in death. Born and raised in Akron, she resided in Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake most of her life. She had worked as a clerk for the Summit County License Bureau for over 15 years, had previously worked as a secretary for RCA Rubber and was a member of the High Street Christian Church and the Falls Democratic Club.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Marsha Russell of Silver Lake; son Mark (Anne) Hanna of City of Green; grandsons, Chris Horning, Joshua Hanna, Joe (Emily) Bodnar and Mike Bodnar. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews she loved with all her heart as well as numerous special staff members and friends at Cardinal Village who took such wonderful care of her for five years.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Wednesday. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 4904 Quick Rd., Peninsula, OH 44264.
