Barry Silvey

STOW - Barry C. Silvey, 49, passed away unexpectedly after a long illness, July 19, 2017.

Barry was born in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School. He resided in Stow the past 18 years and worked for Flemming Landscaping. He loved watching the Cleveland Indians, fishing and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love of and compassion for animals.

Preceded in death by his father, Barry C. Silvey and grandparents, Peter and Ruth Yenicky and Clinton and Ann Silvey, he is survived by the love of his life, Tammy Merz; children, Jessica (Casey) Claborn of TN, Sara Silvey of Kent and Angela Silvey of Stow; grandchildren, Emma Silvey, Elijah Claborn and Gabriel Claborn; mother, Charoltte (Dale) Grayem of Uniontown; aunt, Margaret (Alan) Mitchell; uncle, Larry Keith (Suzanne) Silvey and many cousins and friends.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 24 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 25 Rev. Matt Stahl officiating.
