Beatrice Simon

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Beatrice "Bea" Marie Simon completed her transformation from Earthly Angel to Heavenly Angel on Monday, July 12, 2010, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born April 6, 1918, in Hendersonville, N.C., Beatrice was the daughter to the late Vollie and Nancy Bagwell. She spent most of her life in the Akron area, graduating from Kenmore High School in 1934, and then going to the University of Akron. She ran the food service at the YMCA in Akron for over 50 years. Bea touched everyone she met; she always made you feel special and loved. Bea's passing will leave a huge void to those who knew and loved her. The cruel disease stripped mom of her memory and her dignity, but never of her kind, loving and nurturing heart.
