Bernadetta Strong

Bernadetta "Bernie" J. Strong, 80, died March 12, 2005. Mrs. Strong was born in Sheridan Hamilton, Indiana and had resided in Akron the past 50 years, moving here from Kenmore, NY. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Akron Women's City Club and Junior Women's Civic Club. She was a people person and dearly loved her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, James L. Strong Jr. she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bev and Bob Bertsch of Akron; son, James L. Strong III of Westminster, CO; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kim Strong of Millersville, MD; grandchildren, Michael Bertsch of Winston-Salem, NC, Katy (Nate) Hartnell of Westerville, OH and Ashley Strong of Millersville, MD; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Mike Shaver of Anaheim, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Barb Strong of Beaver Cove, ME and cousin, Ann Risius of North Tonawanda, NY.

The Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday at The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, Dr. George Murphy officiating.
