CUYAHOGA FALLS - Bernice Jesser, 74, born in Akron, Ohio, died Sept. 15, 2009.
Daughter of the late Minim and Tommie Jesser. A graduate of South High School and a long-time resident of Cuyahoga Falls. Retired from Ohio Edison as an executive secretary. She enjoyed many hobbies and volunteer positions.
The people she loved and is leaving behind are her sister, Rose Jesser Verleny and brother-in-law Frank Verleny. Most important was her love for her nieces and nephew, Jean Verleny Crawford (Tom), Matthew Verleny, and Christine Verleny (Walter). Her great-nephews, Dan and Mark Crawford, brought so much joy to her life. They play many sports and she rarely missed their games. The boys are especially going to miss Thanksgiving dinner at her house with plenty of turkey legs to go around. In addition to her family, she leaves her long-time love, George Pritchard, who brought so much joy, fun, and adventure to her life. The family wishes to thank George for being a part of her life and theirs. She will be remembered as a good friend to many. Special thanks to Drs. Richard Nemer and Waleed Nemer for their care and compassion.
A private ceremony was held to celebrate her life.
Memorials may be made to the "Upper Arlington Special Olympics", c/o Jean Crawford, 1960 Tremont Rd., Upper Arlington, OH 43212.
