Betty Kanish

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Betty J. Kanish, 87, went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2018. She was born in Copley and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 55 years. Known as “Grandma Betty” to many.

She loved to cook (Hungarian ethnic foods), play Euchre, watch Hallmark Movies, travel on bus tours and celebrate Christmas with family and friends.  With her adventurous spirit, she loved to get in the car and see where it would take her. She enjoyed Friday night football with the Cuyahoga Falls High School Marching Band. She loved to entertain leaving her guests with a full tummy and heartfelt memories. She was one of the most loving and giving people, whom will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Michael; daughter, Sandy Howard; grandson, Patrick Davies; 11 brothers and sisters; she is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie Kanish (Kenny Peresta); son, Frank L.; grandchildren, Phillip and Katherine Kanish and Tammy Davies, Holliane (Rob) Palcic and Ryan (Mary) Peresta; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 2 hours prior to a 3 PM funeral service on Friday July 27, 2018 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
