CUYAHOGA FALLS – Beverly Jean (Wagner) Garrett was born on January 27, 1926.
She was the oldest daughter of Lorely and Etta Wagner. She had a younger sister and brother, Barbara and Skip, both deceased. She was raised in Ohio but spent some of her youth growing up on farms in Oklahoma and Missouri as well. She had many fun, unique experiences such as riding her pony to school and helping her parents out in their general store. She was a working mother before it was the fashionable thing to do. She was a very strong business woman throughout her life. She also loved to travel and went all over the world. She was married to Billy Lee Garrett-deceased. They had two children, Connie of Aurora, Colorado and Brent Lee-deceased. They lived in Cuyahoga Falls over 60 years.
After retiring, Beverly was very active in her church St. Mark’s Lutheran, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and also a caregiver for many of her friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie and son-in-law, Jack Tierney. Also her grandchildren, and their spouses, Kelly Mattingly (Michael), Jacquelene Lenfestey (Brian), John Tierney (Karlie); eight great-grandchildren, who loved her dearly and one great-great granddaughter.
Memorial calling will be held 1 hour prior to an 11 AM memorial service on Thursday July 19, 2018 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
