CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Beverly (Bev) J. Lipinski (nee Kelps), age 64, passed away February 23, 2017 with her family by her side.

Bev was born January 13, 1953 in Steubenville, Ohio to Edward and Dorothy (Reed) Kelps. She graduated from Steubenville "Big Red" High School in 1971. After graduating high school she attended Kent State University and graduated from Jefferson Technical College. She lived on the shore in Wildwood, NJ where she was a paralegal secretary, worked at an ice cream shop on the boardwalk at night, and then managed the Chalet Beachfront Hotel.

She married her soulmate, Jim, in 1976 settling in Cuyahoga Falls in 1978 where they began their family. As a homemaker to her seven children she loved to sew, operating a clothing business, Raspberry Thicket.
She spent many years as a room mother, girl scout leader, Little League South concession stand volunteer, and was involved as a youth advisor for the youth group at Bethany United Church of Christ of which she was a long-time member. She was chairwoman of the raffle trees for Akron Children's Hospital Tree Festival for many years. She did all of this while battling Multiple Sclerosis for 26 years, participating in many research programs to help find the cure for MS.
She was the recording secretary for the Akron Rubber Group, Northeast Ohio Rubber Group, Buffalo Rubber Group, and the Ohio Rubber Group.

After all of her children were in school she began working for Cuyahoga Falls School District as a substitute attendant and secretary. She was also the secretary of Preston Elementary School. She loved watching and cheering on her children during sporting events. Bev will always be remembered for the smile on her face, quick wit, and positive attitude.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret, and brother, Dave. She is survived by her husband, James V., Jr. (Jim) of 40 years, daughters Kathleen (Shane) Davison, Marybeth (Frederic) Mindreau, and Margaret (Robert) Campbell, sons, James, III (Arianne), Joseph (Hannah), and Jeffrey, all of Cuyahoga Falls, and John (Rachel) of Munroe Falls; grandchildren James IV, Hayden, Johnny, Charlotte, Landon, and Paisley; sister Kathleen (Albert), brothers Ronald (Susie) and Kenneth (Deborah); and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all of her nurses for their love and care.

Memorial calling will be held from 1 to 4 Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017. In lieu of other remembrances contributions may be made to the Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence, OH 44131. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
