Born in Boma, TN and resided in Akron for the past 4 years. He was a Korean War Veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army. Billie worked as a millwright for Massey-Ferguson retiring after 31 years of service. He also worked for J.C. Penneys for 9 years in his retirement.
Preceded in death by his parents, Rosevelt and Martha; he is survived by his wife, Maxine. of 66 years; son, Jerry (Mary); grandson, Daniel Brown and brother, Floyd (Jo Ann).
The family will be having private services. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Society 1815 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44313 or the American Cancer Society 1690 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44319. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
