CUYAHOGA FALLS - Burrell J. Lantry, 87 passed away March 22, 2007.
Burrell J. Lantry was born in Charolette, Michigan on February 23, 1920. He grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1938. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, spending two years in India. After the war he married Phyllis (Gibbons) Lantry of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. They were married 62 years, residing in Cuyahoga Falls. He attended the University of Akron and retired from the Lucian Q. Moffit Co. after 37 years. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, serving ten years as Scout Master of Troop 152 of Cuyahoga Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons David (Cindy) Lantry of Seattle, WA and Philip (Cheryl) Lantry of Stow, OH and 5 grandchildren; Julia and Neil Lantry of Stow, OH and Todd Lantry of Ashland, OH and Megan and Kevin Lantry of Seattle, WA.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday March 26th at the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Marvin Brown officiating. The family requests memorials to his church in his memory.
