Caitlin Turney

AKRON - Caitlin Turney, 29, beloved youngest daughter of David and Becki Turney joined her loved ones in Heaven on December 19, 2016. She passed away peacefully in her sleep following a sudden heart problem.

Caitlin was a lifelong member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and considered the congregation to be an extension of her family. She loved animals, especially her cats Spike, Rascal, and Moe, and creating watercolor paintings. Caitlin was kind and caring and had a special place in her heart for senior citizens, sick children, and her family.

Caitlin was preceded in death by her father, David. She is survived by her loving and devoted mother Becki, siblings Jennifer, Kerrie, Andrew, and Jonathan, and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as close friends, including the Ruether family, and Anne Grantham, MD, and Barbara Bailey, MD who were unwavering in their care and support of Caitlin.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 22nd from 6pm-8pm at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls 44221. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2121 6th St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 on Friday, December 23rd at 11am. For those wishing to do so, donations may be made in Caitlin's name to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
