Carol Dunn

Stow - Carol A. (Wesley) Dunn, 74, passed away on December 7, 2017.

Mrs. Dunn was born on December 6, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio; the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Jane (Scott) Wesley. Carol was a graduate of Mayfield High School, and Kent State University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education with a specialty in working with the gifted. She retired from the Akron Board of Education, where she worked as a Teacher, and she also taught at St. Joseph's and St. Anthony's schools. She was a Girl Scout leader, a Cleveland sports fan, an avid crafter, gardener and enjoyed sewing Linus blankets for area hospitals.

Preceded in death by her brother, Arthur "George" Wesley. Carol leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, William "Bill" F. Dunn; children, David (Sandra) Dunn, Steven (Meggan) Dunn, and Kati (Rich) Simon; grandchildren, Anna, Ian, Lily, Allison Dunn, Jake and Addison Simon, and brothers, David "Scott" (Carol) Wesley, and John Charles "Chuck" (Priscilla) Wesley.

Friends will be received from 1-4 PM on Sunday December 10, 2017 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 where Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Monday December 11. Burial will take place in Stow Silver Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Summit Metro Parks Foundation 975 Treaty Line Rd.
