Carol Maxson

Carol Ann Maxson, 86, passed away September 16, 2016.

Carol was born in Akron and resided there her entire life. She graduated from West High School, the University of Akron and was a teacher with Akron Board of Education at North High School.
Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert "Skip"; parents, William, Sr. and Elizabeth Materna; brothers, William, Jr. and James Materna, she is survived by her son, William of Norton; sister-in-law, Carol Materna of Silver Lake; nephew, Linc (Barbara) Materna of RI; nieces, June Dales of TX and Wendy Johannson of FL.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 21 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 1 Akron General Ave, Akron, OH 44307-2463. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
