Carole Sue Stofira (Salmon), affectionately known as Baa, was born on February 5, 1946. She was a 1964 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and lifelong resident of our community. Carole retired from the City of Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation department.
Carole, gained her angel wings on July 9, 2024, at the age of 78, surround by her family at The Village of St Edward in Green, Ohio.
Carole was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength throughout her life, deeply touching all who knew her. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, open to everyone as a testament to her welcoming and generous spirit.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Carole single-handedly raised her daughters while embodying both parental roles with unwavering dedication. Her love for the outdoors, home improvement, family pets, and cooking/baking created countless cherished memories for her family and friends. Carole’s vivacious and engaging personality made her a beloved member of her community, where she actively contributed through personal and professional avenues all while upholding a strong faith in her Lord.
Carole is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Susan and Tina (Jeremy), her cherished one and only grandson Christian, and two granddaughters Madison and Hannah (Cody). She also leaves behind her siblings Ronald Salmon, Patricia Sink (Randi), Marion "Pete" Gibson (Jerry), and Janet Becks (Rick), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Dale A. and Louise F. Salmon (Kafka). Her brother Raymond Salmon and his wife Mildred "Mickie"
Services to honor Carole's life will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday July 12, at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. At the same location a funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday July 13, Cuyahoga Falls, OH with cremation and burial at Oakwood cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northeast Ohio Hospice or The Village of St. Edward in Green, OH, in memory of Carole. Her legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
