Caroline Foster

CUYAHOGA FALLS-Caroline Foster, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 27, 2015 at Bath Manor. Carrie was born in Akron, Ohio to Ignatius Aloysius Sterbutzel and Lillian Crouse Sterbutzel, the 4th of their six daughters. She graduated from North High School in 1947.
Carrie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James "Frank" Foster; sisters Christine White, Laura Edson, and Irene Foster; son Robert Leroy Foster; and grandson James Allan Foster.
Carrie managed to keep her outgoing spirit to the very end in spite of it all. In fact, two days ago she was playing bingo with friends at the Manor, and she served capably as the caller. She always stepped naturally into a take-charge position at work and in the community and social clubs she enjoyed.

On an occasion when Mom seemed too far away to reach, she simply looked up, with tears in her eyes, and said, "I raised five good kids, didn't I!" Yes, she did, and we know she was proud of us all. Surviving are children Linda (Sidney C. Foster), Carol (Bill W. Bishop), James Jr. (Bonnie), and David; grandchildren, Kimberly Foster Lynch (Jeffrey M. Lynch), William W. Bishop, and Karen Lynn Crissman (Justin M.); great-grandchildren Aidan and Tristan Lynch and Hannah, Emily, Kaitlyn, and Natalee Crissman; and sisters, Betty Lou Miller (Gladding) and Joyce Robertson (David Powell).

In every picture of them together in our old family photo album, Dad has his arms around Mom. They will forever be together in a gentle, loving embrace in our hearts.

Friends may call from 2-4 PM on Sunday August 30, 2015 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday August 31.
