Carrie E. Merakian/Betty Fulton

Carrie Merakian/Betty Fulton passed away July 23, 2022 at the age of 90. The daughter of the late James and Hazel Beard.

She graduated from old South High School in June 1949. She was employed by Nobil Shoe Company from 1952 to 1978. She was a member of Northminster Church. She met her husband Michael Merakian at the Cuyahoga Falls Widow and Widower group and they had been married since April 1999, he preceded her in death.

She also was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Darrell Fulton, Sr. in 1992; son, Jon Michael Fulton in 2007; grandsons, Jacob Lee Fulton and Jared "Jerry" Fulton; brother, James Beard, Jr.; and sister, Dorothy McKee.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. 

She leaves to mourn 4 children, Patricia Jacobs of Longview, Texas, Charles Fulton, Jr. (Joyce) of Akron, Jeffrey Lee of Hudson, and Rebecca Bergquist (Keith) of Akron; 6 grandchildren, William "Willie" Fulton, Merrideth Roberts, Charles Fulton III (Kelly), Gary Berquist, Jr. (Brittany), and Carrie Ann Bergquist (David Pitts); many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the church in her honor.
