Catherine Klein

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Catherine E. Klein, 86, passed away March 5, 2018.

Born in Youngstown, OH on January 26, 1932. She was a 1949 graduate of Fitch High School, Austintown, OH.
She married Herbert Paul Hoffman in 1952. They had 2 sons, Paul R. Hoffman and Robert W. (JoAnn) Hoffman. Catherine married the late George Klein in 1972.

She served as Administrative Assistant and Secretary for various Akron firms including Telxon Corporation in Fairlawn, where she retired after 17 years. Catherine also worked part-time jobs at various area department stores and the Richfield Coliseum.

She loved music. Catherine was a former member of Tuesday Musical Club, performed several summers with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus at Blossom Music Center. She directed and sang in choirs at Cuyahoga Falls Methodist Church, Montrose Zion Church, Silver Lake Church and the Akron Goodyear Singers.

Preceded in death by parents, Royden William Hogarth, Catherine Featheringham Hogarth and sister, Norma Jean Owens; she leaves her sister, Millicent Rae McNulty; 4 nieces, nephew, granddaughters, Johanna (Ethan) Smith and Joyanna Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Robby, Willow-Mae and Lucy, and many friends and loved ones.

A private graveside service will be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
