Catherine Grescovich

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Catherine Rita Grescovich, 86, passed away peacefully October 11, 2016.

Rita was born in Akron to Phillip and Catherina (Bologna) Polefrone, grew up in North Hill and graduated from North High School. A long time Cuyahoga Falls resident, Rita had worked at the AandP, IGA and Acme supermarkets. Coming from a family of nine children there were many gatherings sharing the joy and love of a big Italian family.

Preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Mike; son, Michael; sisters Anna Sue Katanic, Amelia Dallas and Vivian C. Patrino; brothers Nicholas, Phillip and Frank Polefrone. She is survived by her sons, Steve, Joe (Jodie), and Mark (Chrissy) Grescovich; grandchildren, Taylor (John), Blake, Morghan (Kevin), Joseph II, Kyle, Ellie, Abby, Olivia, Madie, Kenzie: great-grandchildren, Ava, Liam, Adrianna and Elliana; brother, Joseph (Dorothy Mae) Polefrone and sister, Elizabeth Hill and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call one hour prior to a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service on Friday, October 14, 2016 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, Fr. Thomas McCann officiating. Interment Oakwood cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Village at St. Edwards,3131 Smith Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333.
