Catherine Vance-Froelich

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Catherine Vance-Froelich, 55, passed away March 15, 2015. She was born in Orrville, OH and resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life.

"Cathie will always be remembered as a selfless mother and grandmother, never hesitant to make sacrifices to fulfill the needs of those she loved. She truly found her calling as a grandma, where she found so much joy in bringing smiles to her grandchildren's faces.
Cathie is the fourth sibling of six. As the middle child she got to be the baby as well as a mother to her younger sisters. Throughout her life Cathie's love and relationships with her brothers and sisters continued to grow stronger.
Cathie had a special relationship with her mom. They spent countless hours together planting and caring for the flowers at her mother's home.
Cathie's friends were always held dear to her heart, and the memories they made will always be her."

Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Vance Sr.; father, Thomas E. Froelich Sr.; brother-in-law, Mike Nelson; she is survived by her children, Heidi Dougherty, Eugene (Tara) Vance Jr. and Jason Vance; grandchildren, Jackson, Carter, Jordan, Bethany, Madison, Julianne and Gabe; mother, Joan Froelich; siblings, Joyce Nelson, John (Michelle) Froelich, Thomas E. (Margaret) Froelich, Christine Froelich and Patricia (Dennis) Vickers.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday March 20, 2015 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church 245 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
