Charlene Nelson-Forbes

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Charlene D. Nelson-Forbes, 57, passed away February 11, 2021.

Charlene was born in Akron and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 32 years. She was a graduate of Lake High School going on to earn a BA and MA from the University of Akron. Charlene worked as a fifth-grade teacher with Akron Public Schools at Findley Academy, where she was beloved by all she taught. She enjoyed sailing and spending time at the Lake Erie Islands.

Preceded in death by her father, Roy Nelson; she is survived by her mother, Judith Nelson; husband of 32 years; Robert Scott Forbes; daughter, Chaw Nelson-Forbes.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 Thursday February 18, 2021 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
