Charles Garn

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Charles S. Garn, 88, passed away May 21, 2010. Mr. Garn was born in Jeromesville, OH and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 57 years, moving here from Wooster. He had worked in sales for Thyssen, Inc. for 10 years and previously Williams and Co. for 21 years. He was a Veteran of WWII having served with the U. S. Army, was a former member of the First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls where he had been Sunday School Supt. and was a longtime member of the Akron Host Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wilma I.; children, Jeff (Barb) Garn of Annapolis, MD; Debra (Lyle) Thomas of Phoenix, AZ and Brad (Dana) Garn of Stow.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be conducted 11:00 am, Thursday, May 27 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Dr. Richard A. Hasler officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Akron Host Lions Club, c/o Tom Lundberg, Treasurer, 167 Spell Rd. Kent, OH 44240.
