Charles James

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Charles William "Bill" James, 85, died October 11, 2010. Bill was part-owner of James Builders with his deceased brother, Jack for twenty years. After the death of his brother, Jack, he was sole-owner of James Builders until his retirement in 1987. Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Europe in WWII and earning several bronze stars. Bill was a member of the Chapel in Akron, the Evangelical-Covenant Church in Bradenton, FL, Mt. Akra Lodge 680 F&AM, Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree, Valley of Akron, Tadmore Shrine, Yusef-Khan Grotto, and the Grotto Golf League.

Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ferrie and his brother, Jack, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna; children, Pamela (Dennis) Hoops, Denise Kolb, Scott James and Brian (Janel) James; grandchildren, Jonathan and Matthew Hoops, Daniel and Caley Kolb, Karmi, Ryan, Aaron and Whitney James, and Chelsea and Christian James.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday, October 13 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, October 14, Pastor Mike Castelli officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
