Charles Matheny

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Charles J. Matheny, 79, passed away December 27, 2009. Mr. Matheny was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls his entire life. He retired in 1988 as a foreman with B. F. Goodrich with 38 years service, had served with the U. S. Army and loved dune buggies and motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie, son Ronald Lee Matheny and son-in-law, John Boyd and is survived by his daughter, Donna Boyd of Cuyahoga Falls; grandson, Todd Boyd of Edinburg Twp.; great-grandson, Tyler John Boyd; sister, Ruth Reed of W. Virginia; brother, Robert (Pat) Matheny of Oregon and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 9:00 am Thursday, Dr. Richard A. Hasler officiating. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park.
