Charlotte M. Mains, 90, of Stow, passed away on October 30, 2021. She was born on May 4, 1931 in Akron, OH, and grew up in Barberton before settling in the Cuyahoga Falls and Stow areas.
Following high school, Charlotte attended Ohio Northern University, where she met her future husband Robert. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, she went on to work at Akron Children's, People's Drug, and Fazio's, in addition to being co-owner of Mains Pharmacy, Falls Pharmacy and Hanna Pharmacy, along with her husband and brother-in-law Dick. Charlotte was a charter member of the Silver Lake Golf Course and Country Club, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cuyahoga Falls BPOE, and a member of First United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking and playing golf.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Demeter and Elizabeth Miskin; beloved husband, Robert Mains, brother, Richard Miskin; and brother-in-law, Dick Mains.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Patricia (Mark) Boyer and Deborah Dixon; sisters, Patricia Chambers and Eleanor Fithian; sister-in-law, Brenda Mains, and many extended family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the friends and caregivers at Vitalia of Stow.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be made in Charlotte's honor to First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Arrangements entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
