CUYAHOGA FALLS - Chester L. Reed, 85, died on October 5, 2017.
Mr. Reed, a resident of Cuyahoga Falls since 1974, was born in Boothbay Harbor, Maine to Harry A. and Elise L. Reed.
He was educated in the Boothbay Region Schools, and a graduate of Boston University following service in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Reed was employed by the BF Goodrich Company and retired from Uniroyal-Goodrich Tire Company.
Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leland A. Reed and James A. Reed, Sr.; and a nephew. He is survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
At his request, no funeral service or calling hours will be held. Cremation has taken place with interment at Ocean View Cemetery in Boothbay, Maine. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
