CUYAHOGA FALLS --Christine Carol Bulgrin, 51, went home to be with the Lord on May 15, 2011 after a 3.5 year struggle with brain cancer. Christine was born in Akron, was raised in Munroe Falls and resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1989. She was a 1977 graduate of Stow High School and was an integral member of their undefeated State Championship volleyball team in the Fall of 1975 (her junior year). She had been a legal assistant for the City of Cuyahoga Falls Law Department over 20 years and was formerly employed by the Hudson Police Detective Bureau, Cuyahoga Falls PD, Weaver MRDD (bus driver) and Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. For many years, she and her husband attended Christ Community Chapel (Hudson).

Preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Ruth Soucie; step father-in-law Bob Diehl; she is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kent with whom she would have celebrated 20 years of marriage on July 27; brother Don Soucie; sister Linda (Dane) Stotzer and nieces Laura and Lydia. Also surviving are father-in-law, William Bulgrin; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Diehl of Orrville; brother-in-law, Kirk Bulgrin; sister-in law, Kimberly (Ron) Fox and nieces Kayla Bologna and Rachel Fox, nephew Daniel Bologna.

Christine is best remembered by her positive attitude, fun-loving spirit, welcoming smile and outgoing personality. She was a devoted, loving and caring wife and had countless life long friends. She never met a dog that she didn't like and proved it by having (4) rescued dogs over the course of 23 years and by frequently contributing to many animal rescue organizations.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00pm THURSDAY, May 19 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00am, SATURDAY, May 21 at Christ Community Chapel 750 W. Streetsboro, Rd. Hudson, OH 44236, Rev. Paul Wides. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Community Chapel, the Humane Society or the charity of your choice. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
