Christine "Chris" McHugh

Cuyahoga Falls- Christine “Chris” McHugh, 69, passed away April 26, 2022 after a short battle with brain cancer. She was born in Akron August 8, 1952 to the late Louis A. and Elinor Dirker and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 35 years. Chris grew up in Tallmadge graduating from St. Mary Catholic School, going on to attend the University of Akron. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles (Cuyahoga Falls) and enjoyed vacations to Myrtle Beach and spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Louis A. and Elinor M. Dirker; brother, Louis A. Dirker II and husband, Terrance M. McHugh; she is survived by her daughters, Shannon (Mark) Barbernitz and Courtney McHugh; step-children, Michael McHugh, Terri Lyn (Terry) Hofmann, Daniel (Pam) McHugh, Shawn McHugh and Dawn (Jerald) Davis; grandchildren, Matthew Rardin, Kyle McHugh, Connor and Garrett McHugh, Jalen and Braylon Davis and Camden Barbernitz; greatgrandchildren, Julie, Collin and Angelina; siblings, Greg (Kim) Dirker and Mary (Ron) Smith and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday May 2, 2022 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday May 3. Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cuyahoga Falls Cancer Club P.O. Box 3244 Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
