Christine White

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Christine White was reunited with her husband of 34 years, Sanford (Whitey) in their heavenly home on December 19, 2014 at the age of 96.

She leaves behind daughter, Marilyn Schultz of Fresno, OH; sisters, Caroline Foster, Mrs. Gladding (Betty) Miller and Mrs. Dave (Joyce) Powell all of the Akron area; grandchildren, Mark and July Schultz of New Philadelphia area, Robert Gill and Walter and Bryan Van Cantfort and 8 great-grandchildren.

Christine was employed by the very first Brown Derby Restaurant with the Girves Bros. on Goodyear Blvd when Steaks were $1.50. She served with a smile for 35 years until her retirement. She loved shopping, gardening and baking. Many wonderful vacations were enjoyed out West with her husband. She attended Arlington Memorial Baptist Church and Pastor Dave Bogue will officiate. She was a very independent lady not allowing her age to determine her capabilities as she drove to the beauty shop weekly. She baked batches of Christmas cookies just a few weeks ago and would have baked dozens more if given the time.

Services will be held at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls on Tuesday, December 23 at 11:00 am. Calling hours will begin at 10:00 am. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery immediately after.
