Christopher Schafer

Christopher H. Schafer, 49, died October 26, 2009 following a long courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Schafer was born and raised in Akron and had resided in Alliance, E. Canton and Twinsburg. He was a 1979 graduate of North High School and graduated cum laude from Kent State University in 2002 with a bachelors of science majoring in Computer Science. He had been manager of various Walden Book Stores for 17 A½ years, enjoyed astronomy and fishing on Lake Erie and was an avid collector of books and music.

Mr. Schafer is survived by his father and mother, Donald and Linda Schafer of Brimfield Twp.; twin sister, Catherine Schafer-Drake (Jeffry Drake) of Creston, OH; sister, Sally Goodyear of Barberton and close companion, Kim Scott.

There will be no calling hours. A private celebration of his life will be at the convenience of his family.
