Claire Hettenbaugh

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Claire S. (nee Sprackling) Hettenbaugh, 93, passed away May 22, 2016. She was born in Willoughby, OH and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 11 years. Claire was a dedicated wife and mother, who enjoyed quilting, bridge and church activities. She had a passion for music, both vocal and piano, and performed in many church musicals.

Preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. of 60 years; she is survived by her daughters, Susan (David) Gohr, Pamela (Drew) Laurianti and Jody (Sam) Armstrong; grandchildren, Daniel (Kathy), Kelly (Rusty), Victoria (Todd), Jennifer, Rebecca (Parker) and Sam; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Nolan, Allie, Garrett, and Trey.

Friends may call 2 hours prior to an 11 AM memorial service on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Dr. David Baker will be officiating. A private family inurnment at Knollwood Cemetery on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church music program or the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH, 44333. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
