Clara Benson

Elgin, Illinois - Clara Benson, 98, passed away Saturday May 15, 2010. Mrs. Benson was born in Wadsworth and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for over 70 years before moving to Illinois to be with her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Yusef Khan Caldron and the Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed sewing and crafts and was very active at church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford of 51 yrs; and her sister Frances Smreker. She is survived by her daughter Kristen (John) Noble of St. Charles, Illinois; Grandchildren Kevin (Jill) Logiudice and Meghan (Kevin) Lynch all of Chicago, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 1 hr prior to an 11 O'clock service Saturday, May 22, 2010 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Rev. Marvin Brown officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
