Clara Faber

Clara Faber (nee Gabriel), 98, departed this earthly life on April 6, 2006. Mrs. Faber, born to Katherine and John Gabriel of Plymouth, PA in 1908 and the youngest of 9 children, moved with her family to Cuyahoga Falls as a young child. In 1938, she married Jack Faber and enjoyed 62 years with him before he died in 2000. Jack and Clara generously provided for a state-of-the-art body and paint shop so high school students could learn the skills necessary for that field of work. The Clara Faber Foundation also funds several 4-year college scholarships to graduating seniors of Falls High, as well as grants to worthy charitable institutions.

Preceded in death by her beloved Jack, Clara is survived by several nieces and nephews and their spouses.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Father Thomas McCann officiating.
