My River of Dreams
My river of dreams keeps calling me back,
To the days of my childhood - some good and some bad.
Seems smaller somehow than I can recall,
Like the hills and mountains and trees that were tall.
A river can be treacherous if rushing through the rocks,
Or as soothing as a summer night in a summery frock.
Tra la la la la la la la la la
Or as soothing as a summer breeze on a summery night.
